1. Ana Alvarez-Holmberg Scholarship
Deadline: April 30th
Created by the PMI Minnesota Chapter in remembrance of a project management training champion who lost her life at the youthful age of 46, Ana Alvarez-Holmberg Scholarship is awarded for $2,000 each year to an outstanding adult student who exhibits Ana’s characteristics of ambition, determination, community service, and innovation in his/her own life. Eligible applicants must be at least 18 years old, have a minimum of two years of work experience, be currently enrolled in an accredited degree or certificate program closely related to project management, and be a chapter member in good standing. Applications should be accompanied by a current resume, three letters of recommendation, and personal essay responses.

2. Bishop/Kloch Memorial Scholarship
Deadline: May 1st
In honor of Bob Bishop and Joyce Kloch who were dedicated founding members of the Baltimore Chapter of the Project Management Institute (PMI), the Bishop/Kloch Memorial Scholarship is granted annually for $2,500 to undergraduate or graduate students pursuing an accredited degree in project management. Applicants must reside in or be attending school in the Baltimore area, be a member of child of a member of PMI Baltimore, maintain good academic standing, and show promise in the project management field. 3. Carl Pritchard Scholarship Fund
Deadline: September 26th
Since its inception in 1980 by the Pittsburgh Project Management Institute, the Carl Pritchard Scholarship Fund has provided $500 annual awards in honor of the founder of Pritchard Management Associates and a leading authority on risk management. Eligible candidates must be pursuing a degree in the Greater Pittsburgh area in project management at the bachelor’s, master’s, or doctoral level. Scholarship funding can be used to cut tuition expenses, cover the costs of a training seminar, attend PMP Preparation classes, or pursue PMI certification exams to improve recipients’ project management skills.

4. Charles Lopinsky Memorial Scholarship

Sponsored by the PMI Orange County Chapter to provide academic tuition support to financially needy college students, the Charles Lopinsky Memorial Scholarship awards up to $3,000 annually for project management majors accepted into an accredited four-year institution to receive a bachelor’s, master’s, or doctoral degree. Applicants must be Orange County residents, be enrolled with at least half-time status, be actively involved in professional extra-curricular activities, and maintain good academic standing. Along with the application, students should submit an official transcript, three letters of reference, a current resume, and two personal essays describing why they want to become a project manager and why ethics are important.

5. Clayman C. Myers Jr. Memorial Scholarship
Deadline: June 1st
With the goal of promoting and furthering academic development in project management, PMI Washington DC (PMIWDC) has created the Clayman C. Myers Jr. Memorial Scholarship to award $2,000 each year to outstanding chapter members who are currently pursuing for-credit education with a project management major. To qualify, students must be matriculated in an accredited degree program at American University, George Mason University, George Washington University, the University of Maryland, the University of Virginia, or Virginia Tech. In honor of the Senior Executive Director who has excelled as an award-winning textbook author and project management professor at Baldwin-Wallace College, the Dr. Harold Kerzner Scholarships are presented annually through the International Institute for Learning (IIL) to provide $7,500 for four of the world’s brightest future project managers. 7. Dwaraka R. Iyengar Scholarship

Founded by the PMI Dallas Chapter to honor a dedicated volunteer who has served as VP Education, Chapter President, and Past President since 1998, the Dwaraka R. Iyengar Scholarship is distributed each year for $2,500 to students currently enrolled in or applying to a project management degree program at the bachelor’s, master’s, or doctoral level. Priority is given to students attending an accredited college in the Dallas/Fort Worth area, but students who reside in the Dallas area and are attending any U.S. accredited institution should still apply. 8. Eric Jenett Founders Scholarship

Established by the Board of Directors of the Project Management Institute (PMI) to recognize the distinguished career accomplishments of its founders, the Eric Jenett Founders Scholarship is granted each year for $2,000 to college students who are currently registered at an accredited degree-granting institution worldwide. 9. Gaylord Christle Scholarship

Also sponsored through the Project Management Institute Educational Foundation (PMIEF), the Gaylord Christle Scholarship has been created to honor the distinguished government service of the founding member of the Performance Management Association to support the scientific advancement of acquisition and project management. 10. James R. Snyder International Student Paper of the Year Award
Deadline: December 15th
Annually, the PMIEF hosts a competition to provide the James R. Snyder International Student Paper of the Year Award (ISPA) for outstanding students who have developed original and creative research that advances the concepts, tools, or techniques used in managing project-oriented tasks. Participants must be enrolled in an accredited institute of higher learning, be in good academic standing, conduct research supported by a faculty advisor, and submit a research paper that has not been published. One winner from each PMI region (North America, Latin America, Europe-Middle East-Africa, and Asia-Pacific) will be chosen to receive a $500 scholarship and present their findings at the PMI Global Congress.

11. Jerry King Memorial Scholarship for PM Excellence
Deadline: April 1st and September 1st
Twice each year, the PMIEF offers the Jerry King Memorial Scholarship for PM Excellence to provide $1,000 to chapter members who are seeking to improve their understanding of the field’s principles, procedures, and practices by enrolling in a PMI REP certificate program. Preference is given to project managers who are unemployed or employed part-time less than 40 hours per week who reside within PMI’s Region 7, which includes California, Hawaii, New Mexico, Arizona, and Nevada. Scholarship funding can also be used to cover the expenses of project management training programs that lead to CAPM, PMP, or PgMP certification.

12. Matthew H. Parry Memorial Scholarship
Deadline: May 1st
Each year, the Project Management Institute (PMI) grants the Matthew H. Parry Memorial Scholarship to honor the life-long accomplishments of the first person from outside the United States to become PMI President, charter the first PMI chapters, start professional project management certifications, and publish the PMI software. Applications will be accepted from any college students globally who are enrolled in an undergraduate degree-granting program with a clear interest in pursuing project management as a career. Recipients will receive a $2,000 scholarship and be invited to attend the PMI Annual Symposium that Parry pioneered.

13. NSPE/PEG Management Fellowship
Deadline: March 15th
Through the National Society of Professional Engineers (NSPE), the Professional Engineers in Government (PEG) Management Fellowship is awarded annually for $2,500 to an engineer intern or licensed professional engineer who is returning to graduate school to receive an MBA or master’s degree specialized in engineering management, project management, management, or public administration. Applicants must be NSPE members, have U.S. citizenship, plan to pursue a career in government, submit two letters of recommendation, and be enrolling in a graduate curriculum accredited by the AACSB International. 14. OSP International LLC Training Scholarships
Deadline: March 1st, May 16th, August 15th, and November 14th
Every quarter, OSP International LLC sponsors training scholarships through the PMIEF to provide full-tuition coverage for promising young project managers worldwide who are seeking online or video-based training to improve their knowledge and skills in project management. In this program, students can choose to apply for one of three scholarship opportunities to take the PM PrepCast exam prep video course, the PM PreCast course with the PMP exam simulator, or the Agile PrepCast exam prep video course to prepare for PMI-ACP certification. Recipients will have up to one year to access the simulator and/or finish the training course.
